Please... NO...

When I first came back to this 'lovely' place
my expression is "OMG?! what is that???"

there is a construction happening in my hostel
in between the two block of hostel
and the road there are so muddy after rain just because of that stupid thing

This is the construction area between block C & D
and there is only a small pathway for me to get to the canteen which is under the block D

Saturday morning I heard some noise from the construction place after I open the windows
I thought it was from the place that I mentioned above
but I was wrong
I realised that it is just under my block

OH NO!!! How am I going to stay in this place?
luckily my room is on the 9th floor
I can't imagine how noisy and dusty if my room is facing right in front of it

Sabah Trip (5) - Walk a lot

27/12/2009

Another day and was also the last day in Sabah

That day was a Sunday, and something interesting in the Gaya Street
The whole length of Gaya Street is closed to give way for the
Gaya Street morning market!!!
This is a must-go place in Sabah especially to get some souvenirs and we were so lucky to be in Sabah on the Sunday

You can get any kind of things here
there are batik sarong, plants, flowers, some craft things and even pets...

After lunch, we went to the Lok Kawi Wildlife Park
there are two parts, the zoological and botanical
RM 10 entrance fee is needed for an adult

You can find many animals there including the elephants, sun bear, orang utan, tiger......
there are different feeding time for the animals
and we were so lucky to see what and how some of these animals eat

the left bottom is a picture of a sun bear eating a banana

the right bottom is a picture of an otter
reminds me of PB&J Otter^^
( not sure how many of u know about that, it is a cartoon show that my sis used to watched when she was young )

This is a 7 year old Orang Utan kid
He lives at another place cause he is too young to stay with the others
average life span for an Orang Utan is around 40-50 years old ^^

This is the only male Orang Utan they had
and if u notice clearly
his left upper limb is amputated
this is due to electrical shock (explained by a worker from there)

The Proboscis Monkey or also known as the Dutch Monkey
cause their nose is like those Dutch ppl
the left one with pointed nose is a female monkey
the right side monkey with the long nose is a male
a gang of them usually consist only 1 male monkey and the rest are female and kids

this is a plant along the pathway which we found in the botanical garden
so nice and special

This is the Periuk Kera
the pegawai there told us that he once happened to use this to cook rice and he said tat is nice to eat and smell nice too

After a long walk, is time to sit down and enjoy some show presented by the animals

The 7 year old Orang Utan swinging up in the air

A competition between an Orang Utan and a human
Orang Utan is the 1st one to peel off all the shell of a whole coconut
how strong they are

A competition between these 2 birds ( a type of parrot or what)
what are they doing? they are playing basket ball
they going to walk till the end of the table to get a small ball then walk back to put in the basket
hope tat u all can see that in the picture
(sorry for the lousy picture coz is taken by my hp camera which is only 2 mega pixels)

This is a type of Hornbill
It can fly while eating insects in the sky

and of course there are lots of interesting show by those animals
I did enjoyed a lot even though i'm a bit phobia towards animals =P

That was our last day in Sabah and we manage to make useful of that day with a lot of walking ^^

The next day early in the morning, we went back
boarding time is 7.05am
and it took around 2hrs 45 mins to reach Penang

So glad that I'm back to my home sweet home
looking forward for another wonderful trip which I can spend the time with my family

Sabah Trip (4) - A Salty & Bumpy Ride

26/12/2009

On the day 4, we went to the Tunku Abdul Rahman Park
It is a marine park which consist of 5 islands
Pulau Gaya, Pulau Sapi, Pulau Manukan, Pulau Mamutik, Pulau Sulug
and the 2 islands which start with the letter 'M' are our choice^^

Pulau Gaya is the biggest island among the 5
but we got some information said that the got a lot of illegal Philippino staying there
I don't think got tourist dare to go to that island

This is the Jesselton Point
the place where we take a speed boat to the islands
I'm not so sure about the price for the boat but I remember that they even got discount for student =)

After 10-15 mins to get through the rough and big waves, we reached our 1st stop~Pulau Manukan~ with the clothes and face all semi wet *LOL*

Oh ya... we rented the snorkeling set (RM15 per set)
I can see lots of fish under there but no corals
guess that we got to go deeper for that
the sea water there is so so so saltish

Happily posing

The 2nd and also our last island~Pulau Mamutik~
we went there by speed boat also
they called this as island hopping -hop from one island to another
the more island u hop the cheaper

But too bad, is drizzling when we reached there
so not going to the sea and we just stay there awhile
then plan to go back already
on the way back to Jesselton Point is drizzling too
so we got a wet ride
the rain drop is like pins and needles poking on my hands
the waves are so rough until the boat keep on 'jumping', make my buttock pain only
according to the driver of the boat, KK was raining heavily before that
but by that time we reached there the rain is stop
how lucky we are ^^

After the whole day on island, sure we tend to get hungry easily
and during dinner time, my aunty bought us to the Little Italy in town area

This restaurant was awarded as the best restaurant in year 2003 *WOW*
and thanks to my uncle who did reservation earlier if not sure we going to wait for a long time
can u just imagine how pack and crowded is the restaurant?

My cute youngest sis

The Wong family posing to the camera before our food is here

Had a great day on that day
my 1st experience to get wet sitting in a speed boat during rainy day
my 1st time to go for snokerling
to see fish swimming beside my body
and that's all for the day

Looking forward for the next day activity

Sabah Trip (3) - Down We Go

25/12/2009

We woke up early in the morning on the Christmas Day
early means how early?
is 5.45am!!!
Sabah there the sun rise very early

This picture is took at around 6+am

And this is taken at around 7am
the fog almost cover the whole mountain
Later after that, it was drizzling
just for not more than 20 mins, the mountain is already covered by the clouds and the fog

and we can see rainbow beside the mountain
what a nice scene

Checked out from Sunny's village and going down the hill

Stopped by halfway to take picture with the mystery one
say bye bye to the Mount Kinabalu ^^

After lunch, we headed to the Muzium Sabah
had a history lesson there... hehe...
the big whale skeleton right in front of the main entrance really get my attention!
this whale( which I forgot about the name) even has scapula, radius, ulna n of course the vertebrae..... hehe... all these are the name of bones which are oso found in human^^

Me with the long house...
but forgot this kind of long house is belong to which kaum

After tired of walking in the museum
my aunty brought us to the famous place for seafood *Yippie*

This Salut Seafood restaurant is built on the sea
and along the road to get in here, there were lots of man made pool for them to rear prawn n fish i guess
there was so many ppl there and especially when the sky was dark
luckily we went earlier

Hmmm... thinking what to get for the vegetarian gang =P

here are our order

The seafood gang got the tasty crabs, prawns & lala....
Those green vege there are some kind of paku-pakis...
and taste yucks... luckily we can't get that in Penang
another dish is mixed vege (right under the crab)

really tasty and enjoyed my day a lot

and I'm so glad that I had my Christmas day together with my family in Sabah
no countdown, no crazy party, no special celebration
but is great to spend time with family

So another day is over... and tmr is island day!!! *woo hoo*

Check out my coming post to find out which island I went!
